القدس/ سلمت مديرية التنمية الاجتماعية في محافظة القدس بالشراكة مع جمعية فائض ما لديكم عدداً من المساعدات الاجتماعية لأسر من الأيتام حيث المساعدات شملت غرف نوم لأطفال من فئة كما قام الطرفان بترميم لمنازل الأسر اضافة لتركيب ألمنيوم للمنازل وتأتي هذه المساعدات وفق خطة عمل المديرية من أجل تمكين الأسر وتوفير حياه كريمة وتحسين المستوى المعيشي لهم.
مدير عام المديرية عامر أبو مقدم قال " نعمل بالتعاون مع الشركاء لتوفير الاحتياجات الأساسية لأسر الأيتام والأسر الفقيرة والمهمشة من أجل تحسين ظروف حياتهم وتمكينهم ."
وتابع أبو مقدم " يتم اختيار الأسر من قاعدة بيانات المديرية وذلك وفقاً لمعايير محددة تتعلق بالحاجة وصعوبة التأقلم في ظل ظروف معيشية سيئة."

The Ministry of Social Development emphasizes the role of youth in advancing social and humanitarian work through the signing of an agreement.
Ramallah – The Minister of Social Development, Dr. Samah Hamad, signed today at the Ministry's headquarters a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Baytna Youth Foundation to enhance joint cooperation between the two parties in the fields of youth development and community capacity-building. The MoU was signed on behalf of Baytna Youth Foundation by its Director General, Ramadan Abu Taybeh, as the official representative of the foundation. The agreement aims to strengthen the partnership between the governmental sector and the youth sector, contributing to the development of skills and capacities of Palestinian youth. It focuses on areas such as awareness programs, training, and capacity-building, in addition to community programs that address the needs of Palestinian society across various sectors. The MoU also includes collaboration in organizing workshops, conferences, and the exchange of expertise in the field of psychosocial support. Dr. Samah Hamad called on all relevant institutions to partner in the "Youth Readiness Program," which aims to prepare adolescents aged 12–18, a particularly sensitive stage in their development. She also highlighted that the Ministry is currently prioritizing the program’s launch in northern regions, such as Jenin and Nablus. With its success, the program will be expanded to cover all West Bank governorates and eventually reach the Gaza Strip. The memorandum outlines various areas of cooperation, including knowledge and technology exchange, awareness and educational programs, as well as enhanced collaboration in emergency aid and economic empowerment for targeted groups. Both parties emphasized the importance of continuous coordination among relevant committees to ensure the optimal implementation of the agreement’s provisions. It is worth mentioning that Baytna Youth Foundation is a non-profit organization working to empower youth and strengthen their role in Palestinian society through comprehensive developmental programs aimed at building their personal and social capacities.
MoSD: Distribution of Monthly Allocations to Over 31,000 Beneficiary Families, Exceeding 11 Million Shekels
Ramallah – The Ministry of Social Development announced today, Sunday, January 19, 2025, the distribution of monthly allocations for the Cash Assistance Program to beneficiary families in the West Bank for December 2024. The ministry stated that the total number of beneficiary families for this payment was 31,490, covering 122,052 individuals, with a total amount of 11,707,092 shekels. The ministry confirmed that the current payment included a range of the most vulnerable social groups, with 20,521 elderly beneficiaries, 17,924 beneficiaries with disabilities, and 16,880 female-headed households. Regarding the funding of this payment, the ministry mentioned that the World Bank contributed 42% of the total amount, while the Palestinian government provided the remaining 58%. The ministry reiterated its ongoing commitment to supporting marginalized groups and providing necessary assistance to improve the living conditions of needy families. It also emphasized its dedication to cooperating with donor organizations to secure the required support and strengthen social protection programs in Palestine.
